The event, which is part of the talks at the Industrial Heritage Forum, will be attended by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation General Manager, Mart\u00ed Sol\u00e0, the authors Carles Sudri\u00e0 and Anna Maria Aubanell, and will be moderated and closed by the Chairman of the Catalan entity for the coordination of foundations, Pere A. F\u00e0bregas.<\/p>\n

In the first part, the book, published by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, presents an analysis of the evolution of the gas industry in Catalonia with the creation of the pioneering company Sociedad Catalana para el Alumbrado por Gas<\/em> in 1842, until the closure of the last factories in the 1990s. The second part of the book focuses on the study of the individual trajectory of the 32 factories which existed outside Barcelona.<\/p>\n

At the end, all of the attendees will receive a copy of the book.<\/p>\n

About the authors:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carles Sudri\u00e0 i Triay is a professor at the Universitat de Barcelona. He is the author of several publications about he history of the financial system and industrial and energy history. He has been one of the pioneers of the gas industry in Spain.<\/p>\n

Anna Maria Aubanell i Jubany is a full professor at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Barcelona. She has worked in the history of the electricity industry and in the study of competition methods in every market.<\/p>\n
