Let&#39;s think about Energy!\u2019 at the Fontao Museum of Mining, which will run until 25 November.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition offers an insight into the secrets of gas and electricity as energy sources, through different interactive spaces which include fun and educational experiments designed by the Naturgy Foundation. The travelling exhibition has already visited the MUNCYT in A Coru\u00f1a, the Logro\u00f1o Science House and the Light Factory. Ponferrada Energy Museum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe exhibition allows visitors to learn about and experiment with the nature, creation and distribution of energy which is so prevalent in our everyday lives,\u201d explained the Director of Education and Heritage of the Naturgy Foundation, Eva Buch. She highlighted that \u201cadditionally, the exhibition looks back at how energy was obtained in the past and the tools used nowadays for efficient energy production and domestic consumption.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>Interactive modules<\/h4>\n<p>The exhibition comprises interactive modules divided into five themed sections: <em>Electrically surprised <\/em>(which focuses on electricity), <em>Gaseously aware<\/em> (to learn about natural gas), <em>You communicate thanks to energy<\/em> (on sound), <em>Energy to live<\/em> (which explains about the thermal energy emitted by our bodies) and <em>The Miracle of Luminescence<\/em> (on the phenomenon of phosphorescence).<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will participate in the exhibition by carrying out activities such as drawing using the light from a lantern in a pitch-dark room; using a camera which detects infrared radiation let off by the body to verify that we are thermal machines; generating electricity using a pedal-powered car to switch on light bulbs, or playing with different material densities and conductivities such as a neodymium magnets and other compounds.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will be able to take part in the following free workshops: \u2018Touch, play and learn\u2019 workshops, which will take place on alternate Saturdays from 12 pm to 1 pm, and \u2018Experiments with the family\u2019, which will also take place on alternate Saturdays and every Sunday from 12 pm to 1 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The exhibition comprises several interactive spaces for experimentation to learn about the ins and outs of gas and electricity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1454,"featured_media":59098,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false},"categories":[702,703],"tags":[704],"content-type":[],"acf":[],"post_class":["post-59097","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-education-dissemination","category-exhibitions","tag-exhibitions","wordpress-sticky"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/59097"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1454"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=59097"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/59097\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/59098"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=59097"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=59097"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=59097"},{"taxonomy":"content-type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.fundacionnaturgy.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/content-type?post=59097"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
