This idea emerged after finding that the same cemetery contained the graves of Josep Mansana i Dord\u00e1n, General Manager of the Sociedad Catalana para el Alumbrado por Gas, which was founded in Barcelona in 1843, and Josep Roura, a pioneer in Spain for experimenting to produce light from gas, two distinguished figures who will be honoured.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum<\/strong> collaborates on the dramatics, supervising the texts, checking with the research in their archive, and organising the final part of the tour with Cementiris de Barcelona. During this final part, one of our educators, Pere Martorell, will light an old gas lamppost while wearing the clothing and using the rod of the lamplighters from the time. This is part of the \u201cViejos aparatos vivos\u201d (Old items come alive) activity the Gas Museum has been performing, where items from the museum are used for certain moments.<\/p>\n<p>It is a special interest event for the audience because it takes them back to a time and a world that is part of our cultural legacy and heritage. The tour will take place on <strong>28 and 29 October<\/strong> between 7 pm and 10 pm.
