This study was the basis for the biomass chapter in the most comprehensive report, entitled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eea.europa.eu\/publications\/air-quality-in-europe-2016\">Air quality in Europe<\/a>\u201d, by the European Environment Agency.<\/p>\n<p>Biomass is a renewable source of energy with climatic advantages, but not in terms of air quality.
