Our team, CH4bots, wins the Rising Star award at the First Lego League
The children in the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum CH4bots team won the Rising Star award at the First Lego League tournament, which was held on 13 February at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
The presented project, Pilometro, addressed the intelligent use of energy consumption in batteries.
The award is granted to a team that stands out in terms of respecting the FIRST LEGO League values: teamwork, cooperation, tackling problems and promoting environmental values.
The CH4bots team is made up of children between 10 and 12 years old who represented the Gas Museum wearing an original T-shirt featuring our robotic CH4 mascot.
Awards such as these demonstrate the value of our educational activities and show the potential to overcome great challenges in the future.
Robotix
Robotix is an extra-curricular activity from the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum to learn how to construct the robotics of the future.
Through robotics, the activity enables them to discover energy while developing the skills and abilities children need in the 21st century: development of talent, communication, entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity to discover and learn. The Robotix programme is led by certified LEGO Education facilitators.
First Lego League
FIRST LEGO League develops 10 to 16 year olds’ interest in science and technology by designing, constructing, testing and programming robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology.
The children take part and enjoy sporting tournaments and festivals to develop the skills and abilities of the 21st century, such as teamwork, resolving problems and communication.
