Smart cities: assessment and practical cases in energy efficiency. Santander

The seminar consists of two parts. The first presents two systems of indicators and ways to assess smart cities using figures; one created by Rudolf Giffinger at the Technology University of Vienna, and the other designed by two Spanish engineers and professors at the School of Civil Engineering at UPM: Rosa María Arce and Concepción Moreno. The second part presents two Smart Client projects by Gas Natural Fenosa and discusses the experience of three Spanish cities: Hospitalet de Llobregat, Malaga, Logroño and Santander.
The event will conclude with the presentation of a report on the study entitled “A model for assessing smart cities. Application to Spanish cities”.
