Geopolitical pathways for the energy transition: Eastern Mediterranean

Naturgy Foundation and Elcano Royal Institute invite you to a conference to analyze the geopolitical implications of the energy transition. The collaboration of both institutions explores the global panorama drawn by the transformation experienced in the fields of energy and the environment.

In this session we will address the potential for energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean, which encompasses the commercial development of the region’s natural gas reserves and renewables, including electricity interconnection projects with Egypt and Israel and European-Egyptian cooperation on green hydrogen, to identify drivers and barriers, as well as the implications for the EU.
