Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation organises practical workshop to support SMEs in A Coruña with creating their internationalisation plan

The initiative forms part of the First Export Programme, which is aimed at providing free training and advice to SMEs in any sector wishing to embark on export activity for the first time.

Programa Primera Exportación A Coruña

In collaboration with the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Galicia and the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Coruña, the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation will hold a practical workshop in the city of A Coruña on Thursday, 4 June, aimed at business leaders and business owners from SMEs wishing to start exporting. The event, which is free to attend after registering on the Foundation’s website, will take place from 5 pm to 8 pm at the headquarters of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Galicia, on Rua Alameda, 30-32 7º D.

This workshop forms part of the First Export Programme, a project run by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation to provide free training and advice for SMEs from throughout Spain wishing to embark on export activity for the first time via a comprehensive free and ongoing training plan. Approximately 720 companies have signed up to the programme so far, of which 140 are from Galicia.

A practical and real approach to exports

This workshop is designed to be a real exercise for creating an Export Plan. Each business leader will work on their own project while being guided by the speaker. This completely practical and real approach does not try to provide theoretical or academic knowledge, but each participant will create an export plan for their own SME. Each part of the process begins with an explanation of the basics to then be able to create the plan while interacting closely with the speaker because of the reduced size of the groups.

Those attending the session in A Coruña will receive advice from the Executive Director of the First Export Programme of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, Emilio Segura, as he discusses the key issues for assessing the exporting capacity of your own SME and constructing an export strategy that ranges from the search for information about markets to the creation of an action plan.

These workshops, which will be held in the main cities of Galicia, form part of the partnership agreement signed between the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation and IGAPE (the Galician Institute for Promoting the Economy), under which the two entities commit to providing training and promoting those services aimed at helping and offering advice on export activity by small- and medium-sized enterprises in Galicia.
