The Factory of Light. The Energy Museum opens the temporary exhibition “Want to Play? Let’s Think About Energy”, commissioned by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be attended by Eva Buch, Director of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum and José Manuel Toral, Delegate of Gas Natural Fenosa in Castile and Leon and Cantabria.

The exhibition, which will be held at the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum in Sabadell (Barcelona) from 17 June 2015 to 31 August 2016, is open to visitors until 2 July in the museum in Ponferrada. The exhibition allows visitors to discover the secrets of gas and electricity as sources of energy through various interactive spaces with educational and fun experiments designed by the Gas Museum and science expert, Dani Jiménez.

With a focus on teaching, the exhibition lets visitors experience the nature, creation and distribution of these energies, which are so vital to everyday life. “It also considers how energy was created in the past, without modern technology, which tools we currently use to produce energy and bring it to our homes, the economic costs of energy, and the efficiency habits we need to avoid wasting it,” she added.

The exhibition has interactive areas where people can experiment with energy in five sections or themes: Electrically surprised (on electricity), Gaseously aware (on natural gas), You communicate thanks to energy (on sound), Energy to live (on the thermal energy emitted by our bodies) and The miracle of luminescence (on the phenomenon of phosphorescence).
