The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation examines new business opportunities in the energy sector in Pamplona

The seminar entitled ‘Economic aspects of the new energy model in Spain’, organised by the power company’s foundation in partnership with the Regional Government of Navarre, the Association of Chartered Industrial Engineers and the Navarre Industrial Foundation, tackled the changes due to take place in energy management and how they will affect consumers and business in general.

The transformation in the electricity and gas market in Spain, the emergence of new energy business models and consumer profile trends were some of the issues debated at the event.

The Deputy President for Economic Development of the Regional Government of Navarre, Manu Ayerdi, the General Manager of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, Martí Solà, and the Chair of the Association of Chartered Industrial Engineers of Navarre, Miguel Iriberri, officially opened the seminar held today in Pamplona entitled Economic aspects of the new energy model in Spain, an event that brought together over 80 professionals from the sector.

“Today, we are moving towards a new energy model in which the customer will play a greater role. A transformation that is affecting markets, companies and customers, in which the digitalisation and decentralisation of the energy system will be very important,” explained Martí Solà in his speech at the start of the seminar.
