The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation launches its Energy School

This initiative is part of the company’s Vulnerability Plan and aims to improve the quality of life of people in a situation of energy poverty.

As part of the Vulnerability Plan, the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation has started the Energy School. This initiative is designed to train third-sector social workers, company volunteers and vulnerable families. Some of the notable training subjects in this initiative include billing, contracting, energy processes, consumption habits and efficiency.

The first workshop at the School took place on 1 June at the La Esperanza Foundation offices in Barcelona. The session was aimed at vulnerable families who are assisted by this organisation. The event was attended by approximately 25 people, who showed interest in learning about the details of their bill, receiving advice on how to save money and be more comfortable at home. At the end, they all received an energy efficiency kit for their home.

Future training events

The workshop created significant anticipation at the La Esperanza Foundation and the room was filled to capacity. There were also families who displayed interest in attending another meeting, which is scheduled in a few weeks.

In addition, the dates are now set for training events with public administration social workers.
