La Fundación Gas Natural Fenosa organiza un seminario en Bar (Italia) sobre la eficiencia energética en el ámbito local

The Minister of Work, Cooperation and Professional Training in the Puglia Regional Government, Michele Losappio, the Rector of the University of Bari, Corrado Petrocelli, and the International Project Coordinator of the Gas Natural Foundation, Manuel Beguer, presented the book "Foreste e ciclo del carbonio in Italia: Come mitigare il cambiamento climatico", in the "Salon degli Affreschi” of the Palazzo Ateneo at the University of Bari.

The presentation event, which was also attended by the Coordinator of the Committee for Environmental Policy and Quality of Life at the University of Bari, Angelo Tursi, and professors Paola Mairota and Giovanni Sanesi, from the Plant Production Sciences Department at the University of Bari, welcomed around 150 people from institutions, companies and people related to the university environment.

This publication comes from a study conducted by experts from the Plant Production Sciences Department at the University of Bari, which aims to progress the understanding of forests, taking into account its ability to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2), the main cause of climate change.

This book is the result of a first agreement framework signed between the Foundation and the Puglia Regional Government where both organisations undertook to work together to improve the environment and the subsequent partnership agreement signed by the Gas Natural Foundation and the University of Bari to carry out research projects about economic development and environmental protection.
