The Naturgy Foundation participates in the II Conferences about Energy and Education in Catalonia, organised by the Nuclear Forum

For the second consecutive year, the Naturgy Foundation took part in the Conferences about Energy and Education in Catalonia, organised by the Nuclear Forum at the Espai Endesa on 11 and 12 July.

Under the title “La energía nuclear: fuente imprescindible en la transición energética” (Nuclear energy: an essential source in the energy transition), the meeting brought professional teachers together with the aim of informing the educational sector about the different uses of nuclear technology in daily life and how it can reduce the effects of climate change and guarantee the electricity supply.

The sessions included presentations about different educational resources regarding energy designed for teachers to use in the classroom or do tours and workshops with their students. That is why the Naturgy Foundation took part in the round table entitled “Educational resources for teachers”, where it presented its educational programme as a success story. In addition, alongside other renowned institutions such as Sincotrón Alba de Cerdañola, the Nuclear Medicine Service at the Hospital de Bellvitge, the Combined Cycle Power Plant in Besós and the Dismantling of the Vandellòs I Nuclear Power Plant, together with the Tecnatom Simulators at the L’Hospitalet de l’Infant, the Naturgy Foundation provided an exclusive tour of the facilities at its Gas Museum in Sabadell as an interesting educational and energy-related museum resource.
