The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation analyses how “industry 4.0” improves the productivity and sustainability of companies in Valencia

The seminar “Energy, the Environment and Industry 4.0”, organised by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation in partnership with the Generalitat Valenciana, discusses how the productive sector is adapting to industry 4.0.

The discussions covered the digitalisation of all areas of production, and companies’ energy and environmental management through industry 4.0 technologies.

Today in Valencia, the director of the Institut Valencià de Competitivitat Empresarial (IVACE) de la Generalitat Valenciana, Júlia Company, and the director of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, Martí Solà, opened the seminar “Energy, the Environment and Industry 4.0”, in which participants analysed some of the concepts defining the new industrial revolution, such as the “Internet of Things” (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence, collaborative robots, and virtual reality, and how they are translated into companies’ energy and environmental management.

“The presence of industry 4.0 is a reality for companies that believe better environmental and energy management is possible. The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation wants to generate a constructive debate to drive improvements in a sustainable way,” explains Marti Solà, director of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation.
