Global Emissions 1990–2023

This report analyzes the evolution of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the four major world economies from 1990 to 2023, examining the economic, demographic, and sectoral dynamics that have shaped their respective emission profiles. The analysis covers China, India, the United States, and the European Union, which together account for a substantial share of global GHG emissions—approximately 55% of worldwide emissions in 2023.
