Our story

At the end of the 60s, the cultural unrest and historical sensitivity of the then current Naturgy meant that the first permanent exhibition on gas was set up at one of society’s most historical sites, Calle Portal del Ángel in Barcelona. This first exhibition showed the historical evolution of gas energy and both the characteristics and applications of natural gas as a clean, efficient and environmentally friendly form of energy.

Today, the exhibition, founded in 1977, represents the embryo of a programme concerning both awareness and dissemination of the past, present and future of energy. The Naturgy Foundation has its own collection and an historical archive with original documents and objects that show our educational and cultural contribution to society.
