Naturgy and its Foundation have been recognised by the Galician Renewable Energy Cluster (Cluergal) for their work in raising awareness and dissemination of renewable energies in Galicia. Cluergal presented the awards for the best actions in the Galician energy sector during 2025 as part of the Noite Enerxética, an event held this Thursday in Santiago that brought together many institutional and business representatives from the sector, and which is part of the Energy Days 2025.
The Cluergal awards recognise good practices in energy efficiency, innovation, entrepreneurship and renewable energies, becoming a benchmark in highlighting the work carried out by companies, institutions and professionals in Galicia in the field of energy. Among the winners, Naturgy and its Foundation have received the award for their commitment to training, employability and the promotion of renewable energies in the Galician community.
The Naturgy Foundation promotes professional training programmes in key areas of the energy transition, aimed at both sector technicians and people in vulnerable situations, generating new job opportunities in a growing field. Through its Foundation, the company also promotes STEAM vocations among girls with the Efigy Girls initiative, and collaborates with the Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies and the Innovatech programme, bringing the reality of the sector closer to future professionals.
Since rolling out its educational action programme in Galicia, the Naturgy Foundation has trained more than 22,900 people, helping to raise awareness in Galician society about the importance of moving towards a more sustainable energy model, generating knowledge, awareness and commitment to the energy transition.
The Director of Education and Dissemination of the Naturgy Foundation, Eva Buch, highlighted the excellent reception of the Foundation’s educational programmes and training in energy matters in Galicia, as well as the consolidated relations between the Naturgy Foundation and the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, and with other recognised institutions in the sector. “For Naturgy Foundation, Galicia represents a priority territory in which we want to contribute to the transfer of the most updated knowledge in energy and sustainability, developing technical skills to contribute to improving employability and promoting the green economy. This award not only honours us, but also recognises the shared commitment of all the organisations and individuals who worked for a just and equitable energy transition and a more sustainable energy future”.
The head of Renewable Development at Naturgy in Galicia, María Landeira, thanked Cluergal for this recognition, “which highlights Naturgy’s constant effort to disseminate and communicate the advantages of renewable energies, as well as to promote its social relations plan”.
