2018 Report. The Spanish natural gas sector in numbers

The gas sector in almost all countries, and certainly in Spain, is heavily regulated. That is why various public bodies and institutions control and monitor its activities and results. As a consequence, every year a very large amount of technical, operational and economic data on the activity of the sector are published, overwhelming the attention of business leaders, the media and the general public. In Spain, the publications of the Ministry in charge of energy matters, the regulatory bodies, the system operator and the companies themselves stand out due to their importance. Faced with this situation, the Naturgy Foundation has decided to initiate the annual publication of a report that collects, groups and presents in a broad, comprehensive and simple way, the data of the Spanish gas sector for each calendar year, with special emphasis on those of an economic nature.
