Urban air quality, health and traffic

Road traffic is one of the main causes of exposure of the urban population to air pollutants. Air pollution has a negative impact on ecosystems and human health, and in Spain this problem is aggravated by climatic conditions and the urban structure, due to the low rate of rainfall and the density and height of buildings.
