Urban air quality, health and traffic

This booklet summarizes three issues: what is the current state of air quality in large Spanish urban centers, what is the impact of local air pollution on human health, and how and why transport is the main cause of this type of pollution. The main emitting gases (nitrogen oxides, solid particles in suspension, tropospheric ozone, carbon monoxide, among others) are described in detail and solutions are proposed, both technological, as well as organizational and social.
