Geopolitical pathways for the energy transition: Eastern Mediterranean

In this session, held on April 24, 2024, the potential for energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean was addressed, covering the commercial development of the region’s natural gas reserves and that of renewables, including electrical interconnection with Egypt and Israel and Euro-Egyptian cooperation on green hydrogen, to identify drivers, barriers, as well as implications for the European Union.
