The microcogeneration

Microgeneration is described as a system of small electrical and thermal generation (equipment of less than 50 kW) in buildings, based on the use of heating and hot water systems also to generate electricity. The heat of the production of sanitary hot water and heating is used. With this system the costs and energy losses of transport and distribution are avoided, because the energy is generated in the same point in which it is consumed. The main available technologies are described: internal combustion engines, external combustion engines and microturbines.
