The first energy exhibition presented in Panama concluded successfully and formed part of the initiatives organised by the Naturgy Foundation to commemorate 20 years of the electricity distribution company’s operations in the country.
Over the two months that the exhibition was on show at the National Ernesto J. Castillero Library, it was visited by primary and secondary schoolchildren, university students and the general public, who came to discover the past, present and future of the national energy market and the tools available for managing it responsibly and sustainably.
The Naturgy Country Manager, José Luis Lloret, said that “the best way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company in Panama is by promoting awareness actions and educational programmes that highlight our shared history with the country.”
In turn, the Managing Director of the Naturgy Foundation, María Eugenia Coronado, expressed her satisfaction with the results from this initiative. “As well as setting a business example of entrepreneurship and innovation that has enabled the country to develop economically and socially, the Naturgy Foundation exhibition encouraged access to specialised knowledge of capital importance for resolving the complex energy challenges posed by the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.” Activities such as these strengthen the social, educational and cultural commitment of Naturgy to its environment and convey values related to the changing energy model, the preservation of our natural resources and the responsible and efficient consumption of energy.
