The Foundation will offer ongoing training on energy with the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya

The Foundation is continuing in its task of promoting ongoing training in energy, and in September will launch its first e-learning course on renewable gas. It will be accessible both on its website and via the platforms of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, with which it has signed a collaboration agreement to foster improved employability in our sector.

The goal of this type of training is to adapt its content to virtual format, enabling students to acquire specialist technical expertise in a flexible way, in order to offer better solutions for the real needs of companies and of society, and helping professionals prepare better for entering the job market.

The course on renewable gas is intended to provide a solid knowledge base on this new energy vector, which is destined to be an active agent as a renewable energy source in achieving decarbonisation targets by 2050, supporting effective waste management, and contributing to the circular economy. The content will cover technical, regulatory and economic aspects, as well as its applications and waste management, in order to provide 360 education on a sector with a long history in Spain and in Europe.

The Director General of the Foundation, María Eugenia Coronado, explained that, with these e-learning courses, “we want to show our responsibility in the development of future professionals linked to the energy transition and sustainability, improving employability in the energy sector”.
