The Gas Museum participates in the “Conoce a un científico” (Meet a scientist) project

Together with other member foundations of the Board of Foundations at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation participated in leading the “Meet a scientist” project through its Gas Museum.

With the aim of encouraging scientific and technological professions, “Meet a scientist” looks to bring students closer to the work of scientists, excite through experiences, learn first-hand what motivates scientists, research a subject to be able to formulate the best questions and develop oral expression and communication. Winners of the competition, which is aimed at 10 to 12-year-old students in public schools, state-subsidised private schools, and private schools in Madrid, attended the “Exploradores del espacio” (Explorers of Space) event. This took place in the Telefónica Foundation Space on 28 February and provided students the chance to conduct a face-to-face interview with renowned astrophysicist and science expert Juan Ángel Vaquerizo, coordinator of the Scientific Culture Department at the Astrobiology Centre.
