The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, through the Gas Museum, presents a temporary exhibition at the Port Authority of Malaga, which shows how energy and using it responsibly are essential factors in managing intelligent seaports, the so-called smart ports. The display follows the evolution of seaports throughout recent decades, this evolution has entailed a large expansion and modernisation of these transport areas. The increase of maritime routes for both the flow of goods and development of new tourist destinations has significantly impacted the seaports and their surroundings. Therefore, the future of the port enclaves requires the automation and innovation of all sectors to improve efficiency and sustainability. With this in mind, the responsible use of energy, in particular natural gas, will be a significant factor in preserving the environment and improving air quality, both at sea and on land.
