Efigy Girls First Lego League

The Naturgy Foundation contributed to this initiative by providing the material needed to take part and offering training and advice to the team on developing its projects during the competition through company professionals with expertise in the field of energy. The partnership, which forms part of the “Girls First” initiative of the Scientia Foundation, will receive support from the energy company’s foundation over the next three academic years.

For the first time, this international programme promotes the inclusion of teams consisting exclusively of girls aged 10 to 16. Eight of these female teams have the Naturgy Foundation as their main partner and mentor, with the aim of developing projects related to innovation in the field of energy and the challenge topic.

Besides Team Limahana, from Instituto Juan Manuel Zafra de Barcelona, the other teams supported by the Naturgy Foundation come from the following schools: Colegio Las Acacias-Montecastelo, in Vigo (Pontevedra); IES Rego de Trabe, in Culleredo (A Coruña); María Inmaculada, in Madrid, and IES San Agustín del Guadalix, in San Agustín de Guadalix (Madrid); IES Ull del Vent, in La Bisbal del Penedès (Tarragona); and IES San Vicente, in San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante).
