For its 60th anniversary, the Gremio de Instaladores del Barcelonès Norte y el Bajo Maresme presents the “El discreto adelanto de la modernidad” exhibition, which can be visited from the 28 October to 11 November 2016 at the Casa de la Villa in Badalona. The exhibition explores the history of the union, looking at the transformation of the city of Badalona and its surroundings following the energy evolution of water, electricity and gas suppliers. The exhibition contains original items loaned by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum, the Endesa Historical Collection and the Water Museum.

The “El discreto adelanto de la modernidad” exhibition rediscovers two original items from the Gas Museum Collection: an iron and brass burner from 1930 and the head of a gas lamppost made of cast iron and glass from 1927. The exhibition is also complemented by two very representative documents for the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Historical Archive: a little book of illustrations by Josep Segrelles and cartoons by Joan Junceda from 1927 and a Christmas greeting from 1918.
